The termite bait station is strategically placed in the soil around your property. The stations are discreet.and don’t require drilling or trenching.

D-Tec is accredited to install a system called the Sentricon AlwaysActive. The Sentricon AlwaysActive System can be monitored by one of our termite specialists or you can do it yourself.

Sentricon AlwaysActive

D-Tec uses the Sentricon AlwaysActive which is an environmentally sensitive and effective way of protecting your home against termites. It offers the safety of a baiting system and continuous protection of a chemical barrier.

Most importantly, it is an environmentally sensitive termite control system. In particular, it protects your home constantly by harnessing the natural behavior and biology of termites with a highly effective termiticide.

How does Sentricon AlwaysActive work?

Installation

With installation, there are no trenches, no drilling floors or foundations and you don’t even need to be onsite for the installation.

Your D-Tec technician will then strategically and discreetly place the termite traps around your home to form a continuous barrier.

Each station contains Sentricon IG Termiticide Rods which make it active immediately on installation.

Termite bait

When termites find the stations, they begin feeding on the Sentricon IG Termiticide Rod. They share this with other termites in their colony and the elimination process begins.

The Sentricon IG Termiticide Rods provide continuous protection and are effective for up to five years in Australian conditions.

Maintenance & information

Inspections and monitoring are recommended on your property every 3-6 months or more frequently if required.
A full review should be done 5 years after installation.
The Sentricon IG Termiticide Rods should be replaced if half or more has been consumed.

The Sentricon AlwaysActive System is non-toxic to humans and no other insects or animals are affected by it. It has a very low odour as it has a low vapor pressure.
